MOONSET is a Costa Rican jewelry and textile brand, brought to life by designer Montserrat Valverde, and based between Barcelona, Spain, and San José, Costa Rica. My vision is rooted in ethical and slow production, striving to offer you handmade pieces that celebrate craftsmanship and cultural heritage. By collaborating with local female artisans, I support sustainable economies and contribute to the empowerment of communities in both countries. I ensure that all materials are sourced and produced locally, bringing fair work and opportunities to each community I work with.
My Craft: Thoughtfully Designed, Expertly Made
Each piece of MOONSET is crafted with care and dedication, often taking between 15 to 30 hours to create. My team and I use only precious and soft metals such as silver and gold, always with a Certificate of Origin (CO), allowing us to trace the metal to its source and ensure responsible production practices.
For our textiles, we partner with natural, organic, and sustainable suppliers, upholding our commitment to ethical fashion. Every item is unique, reflecting the time, skill, and love that goes into its creation.
A Passion for Sustainability & Unique Jewelry
I work with metals from scratch, a process that not only guarantees the quality and safety of each piece but also allows me to create items that are truly one-of-a-kind. I recycle all metal materials, turning them into new pieces, and produce small collections to avoid overproduction and waste. Each piece is drawn and cut one by one, and our packaging is made from compostable materials, including recycled paper and plantable seed tags. It’s important to me that you know who is behind your jewelry and textiles, and that you feel connected to the effort, study, and passion involved.
